Gold for Levenmouth Gymnasts

Levenmouth Academy Senior Phase pupils Rachel Baillie, Melissa Small and Erin Nicoll have won gold at the Scottish Schools Championships in Perth and are newly crowned Scottish Champions for Level 2. Erin Nicoll is also the Level 2 overall champion for Scotland winning gold for the highest combined floor and vault score.

Pupils in S3, Isla Robertson, Rebekah Webb and Jason Yule, qualified to compete in the next level up, Level 3, for the first time and came a well earned 10th overall.

The Level 3 team will be joined by Kaylee Kemp, Keirra Dawn Marshall, Charlotte Reid and Owen Baillie who will travel to Stoke on Trent to compete next week at the British Schools Finals for the Milano team Competition.

This is another example of Levenmouth Academy performing on a national platform, and joins a whole host of sporting successes. This week, one of our football teams had a fantastic 9-0 victory against well-regarded Lochgelly High School - we wish them well for the next round of the competition.

Jenn Noble is extremely proud of the young people's achievements, and Head teacher Ronnie Ross commented that this is "another example of the commitment, dedication and hard work of the young people of Levenmouth, and is outstanding news for all involved and indeed, for the wider community"
