The outcomes covered depends on the level being taught. Resources are available through Teams. Online revision tools are available through BBC Bitesize, Scholar and Evans2Chemweb (ask your teacher for the password)
Expectations
Learner booklets are on the individual class teams and paper copies are used in class. Regular homework is set and there is a progress assessment at the end of each unit.
There is also an expectation that you revise work regularly at home.
Assessment
National 5 will be assessed by a formal exam as well as an Assignment marked by the SQA/
National 3 and 4 are continually assessed by the class teacher. This involves unit assessment and an added value unit, which is a project based on one of the topics covered.
Progression Routes
National 5 learners can continue with Chemistry at Higher
National 4 learners can continue with Chemistry at National 5
National 3 learners can continue with Chemistry at National 4 or continue with one of the NPA’s offered by the Science department or Fife College
