Welcome to National 3 & 4 Music

The National 3 & 4 Music courses are designed to help you develop your knowledge of music concepts and music literacy and to apply this understanding in practical learning activities.    

Course Requirements

The Music courses at National 3 & 4 level consist of three units.  These units are:

• PERFORMING UNIT
• COMPOSING UNIT
• UNDERSTANDING MUSIC UNIT

Course Assessment

To achieve a course award at National 3 level you must pass the National 3 unit assessments for all three units.

To achieve a course award at National 4 level you must pass the National 4 unit assessments for all three units as well as an Added Value Unit.
