    Mr Russell's musings

Another academic year is nearly completed, another S6 move on to pastures new and all year groups have moved on a year in the their new timetables. As LA’s librarian I am in a privileged position of having watched our young people grow in confidence and that is none more so than when they asked if they could volunteer with me in the school library. This is pleasing indeed.  The new S6 certainly are up for a challenge.

Also, the outgoing S6 held their prom at Keavil House, nr Dunfermline recently (14/06/19) and it was an outstanding occasion- a fitting way to say goodbye and all that is left now is for their yearbook to be picked up.

Finally, for me, summer is the time for catching up and the development of Accelerated Reader within the library will take up a lot of my time. When my own holiday time comes it is also an opportunity to paint the house, read at my favourite coffee house and of course, get away for a couple of weeks. My main summer reading is Charles Dickens’s ‘A tale of two cities.’ Thank you. Goodbye. See you on 21 August for session 2019-2020.
